🌸I’d like to talk about something important. This is an observation of mine. 💳Some people don’t mind spending money on 🍦🍩🍭food items that are unhealthy or spending on 🛍brands that are overpriced or on 📲Mobiles and certain gadgets that they don’t need or are overpriced, they don’t mind throwing food into the dustbin (meaning money as well) but when it comes to learning Arabic they are extremely miserly.‼️ They are delusional in this regard.

Many people have three comments when told to learn Arabic:

🔵Some of them say they don’t have money💰

🔵some of them say they don’t have time ⏳ and

🔵some say they are just not interested.

There’s a solution for all of these comments. ‎الحمد لله. Hope you are you willing to listen

* One must ask ALLAH to help them learn Arabic. One must do all fardh actions. You need beneficial ilm to follow the Deen. Sometimes people don’t know what they don’t know! It’s easy to learn Arabic, are you really trying?

* One must do Tadabbur upon the Qur’aan. You need to understand Arabic to do Tadabbur

* You must do research about what is the importance of Arabic and the fact that many scholars said that it is *FARDH TO LEARN ARABIC * in order to understand the Deen well. They said since learning Islam is fardh, whatever is needed to do this fardh action is also fardh which includes learning to read, understand Arabic. (This is what many scholars said). ‎الله أعلم

Some benefits of learning Arabic

* Remember ALLAH Grants Rizq to Whom He WILLS. We should ask ALLAH to grant us barakah in our wealth, time, beneficial Knowledge. * We should do Istighfaar. * Time is granted by ALLAH. If you seek beneficial Knowledge, ALLAH Will surely Grant you barakah in your time, إن شاء الله

Some sisters say “why can’t the teachers make it free?” It’s great to teach Arabic for free. ‎الحمد لله.

Here are some questions for *them* : Are you willing to spend even 20 minutes talking to someone you don’t know? Are you willing to teach something important to people you don’t know for even 2 hours every week? Even if the answer is yes, why do you expect other people to do it for you? Why do you want favors from people? Why do you think an Arabic teacher shouldn’t charge some money for the time and effort that she’s investing which she could have used to spend with the family, to teach her kids something important in case she does have kids, to take care of herself, to seek beneficial knowledge, to help her community⁉️

Many Arabic teachers spent some money learning from teachers who put a lot of effort and they were happy to pay their teachers for their kind services. الحمد لله

💰A person can be needing money for various reasons. It’s not necessary that someone is needy and that’s why they charge you a fees in return of their services, it may be that they have an excellent project which they dream about, for which they require money, they might be having an intention of helping some family or the community. ‎إن شاء الله

🔵Some might be needing money to pay bills, some might be in debt, some might be in need of health care which may require money, so why are some people so miserly? Why can’t they cooperate when they are getting the benefit of learning Arabic in return of a decent fees? ‎الله أعلم

⏳Some years ago, there was a teacher who is a widow and she has an adult child to take care of, she teaches in return of some fees, one of the sisters actually told me (paraphrasing) “why is she charging money why can’t she do it for free?” and she was saying she really appreciates people who do it for free... but you see she didn’t know this teacher’s situation and even when I told her it seemed to make no difference to her. ‎الله أعلم 🌸Even if we don’t know someone’s situation, it does not make it OK for us to look down upon them. Some people see Arabic teachers who charge money as “greedy.”

May ALLAH PROTECT US.

🌹Had this teacher asked for charity and informed people that she needs money, some people might really have helped her financially but why are some of the people so unwilling to spend money in return of learning Arabic? Some people don’t like to beg people for money or ask people for a loan.

🌹 It’s better to charge some money in return of our halal services. 🌸 ‎الحمد لله. Why do some want to pay $0 in return of the halal services they received? Some run away the moment they hear it’s “a paid course.” They don’t care if it’s $18 for three weeks or $30. They want to pay $0. 🌅 People need to broaden their horizons and really need to get out of the narrow-mindedness. Rasul ‎صلى الله عليه وسلم did Du’aa’ against miserliness ( بُخْل). This means miserliness is bad. I haven’t seen any evidence that makes it haraam for teachers to charge fees for teaching Arabic. ‎الله أعلم People have no right to disagree with the halal and look down upon the person doing a halal action.

Halal is beautiful 🌹 ‎الحمد لله. Think beyond yourself.

🌹Learn Arabic and also try to give the teacher something good in return even if it is a few dollars that she asked in return of great efforts and if she didn’t charge anything at least say: ‎جَزَاك اللهُ خَيْرًا Thank you for teaching me this beautiful and important language that will help me understand my Deen better, ‎إن شاء الله

With regards to those who complain about time:

Stop checking your mobile phone again and again.

Stop wasting time on unnecessary things.

Learn to work faster and in a productive way, ‎إن شاء الله

Check your time table, it should be arranged around the times of the Fardh Salawaat.
